VTB Bank (Azerbaijan) plans to significantly expand its branch network in 2014, Chairman of the Board of VTB Bank (Azerbaijan), Alexander Eremin said on Jan.17 at a press conference dedicated to the bank's activities in 2013 and future plans.
"Throughout the year we plan to open another 10 branches all over the country. For the first time since the beginning of our activity in Azerbaijan, we will go beyond the geography of Baku by opening branches in regions," Eremin said.
The bank began the active expansion of a branch network in 2013, according to Eremin.
"To date, six full-fledged branches of the bank operate. In addition, the main office of VTB (Azerbaijan) moved to a new building in 2013," Eremin added.
Shareholders of VTB Bank (Azerbaijan) are VTB Bank JSC (51 percent) and AtaHolding JSC (49 percent).
VTB Group ranks second in the Russian banking market for all main indicators. VTB Bank JSC has the highest rating of international rating agencies Moody `s Investors Service and Standard & Poor` s and Fitch considered for Russian banks.
