ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 22. Turkmenistan is considering the possibility of building a ferroalloy plant, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymyrat Annamammedov said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Trend reports.
“At present, due to the growing demand for ferroalloys in the country and abroad, the possibility of building a plant for its production in Turkmenistan is being studied,” he said.
He noted that steps are being taken to turn Turkmenistan into an industrially developed state with modern production facilities focused on import substitution and export based on local raw materials. In this regard, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov presented a relevant proposal on the construction of the plant.
The Deputy Chairman also informed about the ongoing work to provide large construction projects and populations with necessary construction materials in sufficient volumes. President Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the implemented program measures on the industrial development of the country and the rational use of local raw materials.
