ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, January 11. A new medium-pressure gas pipeline has been completed in the Ak Altyn village in Turkmenistan’s Boldumsaz district, Trend reports.
The pipeline, stretching over two kilometers, was constructed as part of Turkmenistan’s National Transformation Program, aiming to expand and modernize the country’s energy infrastructure. Similar gas pipelines of various lengths have also been built in other locations, including Ushak oba village, in the city of Gubadag, and additional areas served by the Gubadag branch of Boldumsazetrapgaz.
Alongside the primary pipelines, a web of internal distribution networks was laid down, racking up six and a half kilometers of feeder pipelines and two and a half kilometers of internal networks in the Boldumsaz district alone over the past year. This achievement fulfills the annual targets for new gas infrastructure development in the region. High-quality pipes of varying diameters, known for their durability and high capacity, were used in the construction to ensure the uninterrupted supply of natural gas to consumers.
Due to the successful implementation of comprehensive state projects, the Dashoguz region now possesses a well-developed gas network capable of reliably supplying high-quality, environmentally friendly fuel to the population. The new pipelines connect residential developments and industrial facilities in both urban and rural areas, while significant efforts are also dedicated to maintaining existing networks, ensuring the efficient operation of gas distribution systems, and guaranteeing the stability and safety of the entire infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan plans to increase its natural gas production to 116 billion cubic meters per year by 2029. Under the socio-economic development program for 2022-2028, gas production is set to reach 116 billion cubic meters annually by the end of 2028.
