Turkey had registered 5 companies with Georgian capital in January 2021, which is by 3 companies more than in the same month of the previous year, the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) told Trend.
According to TOBB, in the reporting month, the total capital of Georgian companies registered in Turkey amounted to 850,000 liras ($120,640), as compared to over 100,000 liras ($14,190) in January 2020.
Meanwhile, most of the Georgian companies were registered in Istanbul (4 companies) with a total capital of 800,000 liras ($113,540).
Three of the companies were engaged in wholesale and retail trade, and five - in real estate sales.
"The remaining companies with Georgian capital operate in other sectors of the economy," TOBB said.
The total capital of 3 companies operating in the wholesale and retail trade registered during the reporting month made up 700,000 liras ($99,350), according to TOBB.
In 2020 Turkey had registered 67 companies with Georgian capital.
