ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 9. The total amount of financing for spring field and harvesting operations in Kazakhstan will be up to 700 billion tenge ($1.33 billion), of which about 560 billion tenge ($1.06 billion) will be drawn from market capital sources, Trend reports.
According to the information, as of today, 6,100 agricultural
producers in Kazakhstan have been financed for a total of 382.5
billion tenge ($727.75 million). In total, a pool of 7,000
applications amounting to 480.5 billion tenge ($913 million) has
been formed.
In addition, the number of financial institutions to which farmers
can apply for and subsequently repay loans has been increased to
expand the program's outreach.
“The Agrarian Credit Corporation of Kazakhstan continues to finance
under the "Ken Dala 2" program with a preferential interest rate of
5 percent per annum. Active participation in financing is being
provided by the APC (Agricultural Production Cooperative) of
Akmolinsk, Aktobe, Almaty, West Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Kyzylorda,
Pavlodar, and North Kazakhstan regions. A total of 165.3 billion
tenge ($314 million) has been allocated to support farmers through
these corporations," the report says.
In order to ensure access to financing, a loan guarantee program is
actively being implemented, covering up to 85 percent of the loan
amount. In 2025, 943 guarantees amounting to 135.2 billion tenge
($257.88 million) have already been issued, with a total loan
amount of 159 billion tenge ($302.1 million). The guarantees are
provided by the "Damu" Entrepreneurship Development Fund.
Meanwhile, the preferential leasing program for agricultural machinery with a 5 percent annual interest rate is also ongoing. The total financing limit for this year is 200 billion tenge ($380 million), which will allow farmers to purchase over 6,000 units of domestic equipment.
To date, 3,200 applications have been submitted for a total of 120 billion tenge ($228 million), and 1,823 contracts have been signed for the purchase of 3,435 units of equipment for 60.7 billion tenge ($115.33 million).
