BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21. Harvesting has been completed on nearly 36 percent of autumn-sown croplands in Azerbaijan, with over 1,087,000 tons of produce collected so far.
Data obtained by Trend from the Ministry of Agriculture indicates that 13.2 percent of wheat fields and 62.1 percent of barley fields have been harvested.
The prevailing yield metrics are currently quantified at 35.3
percent for Triticum spp. and 32.2 percent for Hordeum vulgare. A
comprehensive aggregation of 1,604 combine harvesters is engaged in
the operational workflow—598 units are under the stewardship of
"Agroservice" Open Joint Stock Company (OJSC), whereas 1,006 units
are in the possession of private stakeholders and legal
entities.
The most extensive aggregation of combine harvesters has been
documented in the jurisdictions of Jalilabad (127 units), Shaki
(120 units), Agsu (112 units), and Kurdamir (86 units). In the
agricultural cycle of 2024–2025, a total of 426,623 hectares were
allocated for barley cultivation, with 264,861 hectares
successfully harvested, resulting in an impressive output exceeding
852,000 tons of barley.
The completion of the barley harvest has been duly recorded across
the agricultural districts of Neftchala, Lankaran, Salyan, Yevlakh,
and Barda. In a multitude of locales—such as Aghdam, Aghdash,
Jalilabad, Fuzuli, Naftalan, Hajiqabul, Masalli, Saatli, Sabirabad,
Shusha, Tartar, Ujar, and Zardab—an impressive 90 percent threshold
of barley yield has been successfully harvested.
At present, dynamic extraction operations are being executed in 51
jurisdictions nationwide, with the anticipated culmination
occurring within the designated temporal parameters.
