BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 30. Kyrgyzstan has inaugurated its first sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing plant, built with financial support from the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF), Trend reports.
According to the RKDF, the facility will produce infusion solutions and injectable medications in compliance with international GMP standards.
The RKDF provided $7.7 million for the project, which has an annual production capacity of 18 million bottles and 5.7 million ampule packages. This output will fully meet the healthcare system's demand in Kyrgyzstan for infusion solutions, injectable medications, and eye drops.
"The opening of this plant marks a significant step in the development of Kyrgyzstan's pharmaceutical industry. The fund not only provided financing but also offered substantial technical assistance during the plant's design phase, enabling the creation of a modern facility that meets international standards," said Artem Novikov, chairman of the RKDF.
Notably, the RKDF provided funding for the first time to prepare the feasibility study and working plans for the plant, amounting to approximately $90,000.
Established on November 24, 2014, the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund has financed approximately 3,500 projects, totaling around $750 million in Kyrgyzstan.
