Uzbekistan plans to increase cars export in 2025

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 25. Uzbekistan plans to increase the export of cars up to $700 million in the next year, Trend reports.

According to the Uzbek president’s office, Uzavtosanoat (a state-owned automobile manufacturing company in Uzbekistan) also plans to produce 450,000 cars in 2025.

It is planned to strengthen cooperation with regional enterprises and increase localization. In particular, 63 projects worth $325 million will be implemented to master the production of 700 parts.

Meanwhile, the country produced 338,000 passenger cars from January through October 2024. Components of 1,400 types were localized. The share of automobile manufacturing in the country's industry amounted to 10 percent. At the same time, the exports of cars amounted to $455 million.

Furthermore, Uzbekistan's enterprises manufactured industrial products worth 704.1 trillion soums ($54.7 billion) from January through October 2024. This figure has increased by 36.8 percent year-on-year (519.1 trillion soums, or $40.3 billion in January–October 2023).
