The volume of foreign trade between Turkmenistan and Turkey hit $5.5 billion in 2015, said a message issued Apr.7 by Turkmen Economy and Development Ministry.
Turkmenistan exports electricity, polymers, propylene, oil and oil products, cotton yarn and textile, while Turkey exports technical equipment and consumer goods to Turkmenistan.
Turkish companies are implementing 1580 projects in Turkmenistan in the spheres of transport, fuel and energy, communication, agriculture, construction, trade, management of water resources.
Currently, 562 enterprises with Turkish capital are registered in Turkmenistan.
