Turkey's trade turnover with Turkmenistan increased by 2.5 percent in February 2021 compared to the same month of 2020, totaling over $76.8 million, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Ministry of Trade.
“Turkey's exports to Turkmenistan amounted to $48.9 million, and imports from Turkmenistan – $27.9 million,” the ministry said.
Reportedly, from January through February 2020, the trade turnover between the two countries dropped by $10.6 million year on year, settling at $135.5 million.
"The exports from Turkey to Turkmenistan made up over $84.3 million, and imports from Turkmenistan - $51.2 million," noted the ministry.
“In February 2021, Turkey's trade turnover with foreign countries amounted to $36.2 billion. Turkey’s exports grew by 9.6 percent year on year, amounting to $16.9 billion, while imports decreased by 9.4 percent, to $19.3 billion,” the ministry said.
“In the first 2 months of 2021, Turkey's trade turnover amounted to $68.7 billion. At the same time, Turkey’s exports increased by 5.9 percent in annual terms, amounting to $31.3 billion. Imports to Turkey grew by 1.4 percent year on year - up to $37.3 billion,” the ministry added.
