ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 22. The construction of a new oil extraction plant in the North Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan has been completed, Trend reports.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the company Maslo-Del Petropavlovsk has finished building the new oil extraction plant.

The plant will process 370,000 tons of oilseeds annually. The plant's products will include sunflower and flax oil, as well as meal. To enhance competitiveness in foreign markets, cold pressing technology will be used in production. The facility is equipped with modern machinery from Germany, Belgium, and Türkiye.

Currently, the construction of extraction, seed preparation, and receiving workshops, as well as the pumping station and boiler house, has been completed, and commissioning work is underway.

The production launch is planned for the end of November this year, and the plant is expected to produce 120,000 tons of finished products annually. The project is valued at approximately $68.245 million.

Maslo-Del is one of the largest food production companies in Kazakhstan. Currently, the product range of the company includes more than 100 types of products. The company has overseas representations in China and Kyrgyzstan.

Existing oil mills in Kazakhstan are not operating at full capacity. The total processing capacity today is 3 million tons per year, while the production of sunflower, the main oilseed crop in Kazakhstan, is only 1 million tons.
