BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. The broad money supply (M3 aggregate) in Azerbaijan amounted to 46.7 billion manat ($27.4 billion) as of April 1, 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank (CBA) indicates that this represents an increase of 56 million manat ($32.9 million), or 0.12 percent, compared to the previous month, and 1.9 billion manat ($1.1 billion), or 4.2 percent, more than the same period in 2024.
In addition, as of April 1, 2025, the money supply in manat (M2 aggregate) reached 35.6 billion manat ($20.9 billion), marking an increase of 123 million manat, ($72.3 million) or 0.35 percent, from the previous month, and 1.1 billion manat ($647 million), or 3.2 percent, more than the same period last year.
Furthermore, the M1 money supply aggregate stood at 28.3 billion manat ($16.6 billion) during the reporting period. This reflects a month-on-month rise of 157 million manat ($92.3 million), or 0.56 percent, but a decrease of 387 million manat ($227.6 million), or 1.35 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
Moreover, as of March 1, the volume of cash outside of banks (M0 aggregate) reached 16.1 billion manat ($9.4 billion), an increase of 525 million manat ($308.8 million), or 3.38 percent, from the previous month, and 640 million manat ($376.4 million), or 4.15 percent, more than the same period in 2024.
