BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 4. Banks operating in Azerbaijan carried out purchases and sales of 22.7 million euro in May 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee shows that this figure decreased by five million euro or 18.1 percent compared to the same month last year (27.77 million euro).
In the reporting period, the aggregate volume of euro
acquisitions by financial institutions reached 11.9 million euros,
while the total volume of disposals amounted to 10.84 million
euros.
The Euro acquisition metrics exhibited an uptick of 973,000 euros,
translating to an 8.9 percent escalation, whereas the divestiture
figures experienced a contraction of six million euros, equating to
a 35.6 percent decrement, juxtaposed against procurement levels of
10.9 million euros and sales figures of 16.84 million euros
recorded in May 2024.
