Iranian government is expected to inaugurate a 63-kilometer freeway in east of Isfahan in the coming days, said Deputy Minister of Road and Urban Development Hassan Mirshafie, Trend reports via ILNA.
"The first and second parts of freeway in east of Isfahan would start operating in the coming days, while the third part would be launched in next Iranian year (started March 21, 2021), as more investments are needed," he said.
Among other important freeways, Mirshafie noted the freeway project in southern Tehran.
"This important freeway would be 158 kilometers," he said. "There is also ongoing work on construction of roads that would lead to this freeway."
"This freeway would be connected to Qom-Garmsar freeway," he said, adding that it would also pass through Alborz province and reduce traffic.
"Another important project is the Shirza – Isfahan 200-kilometer freeway. The freeway construction in currently ongoing, and it would reduce the road distance between Fars and Bushehr provinces and would connect to Tehran," he said.
