BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 11. The company's gas production has increased by 3 million cubic meters per day with the completion of the Day gas field development project located in the territory of Iran's Central Oil Fields Company, the executive director of Iran's Central Oil Fields Company, Peyman Imani, told reporters, Trend reports.
According to him, the specified gas volume was derived from the execution of drilling operations across four wells, coupled with the deployment of diverse apparatus and pipeline infrastructure.
Imani stated that the gas in the mentioned amounts is currently being transported through 56-kilometer-long pipelines to the Dalan gas processing plant. After processing at the plant, the gas is supplied to the country's gas network for consumption at industrial facilities and apartments.
The Day gas field, situated in proximity to the Firuzabad area, encompasses a substantial volume of 120 billion cubic meters of natural gas reserves.
To note, a total of 84 oil and gas fields are currently under the operational oversight of Central Oil Zones Company, strategically distributed across 11 provinces within the Iranian territory. Currently, a total of 13 gas fields and 13 oil fields have undergone development processes. The peak output capacity of Central Oil Fields Company is approximately 250,000 barrels of crude oil alongside 250 million cubic meters of gas on a daily basis.
