BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 13. The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) has cranked up the daily cryptocurrency exchange limit at currency exchange points by a whopping eightfold.
The data obtained by Trend from the CBI shows that currency exchange points in the country will now be able to exchange cryptocurrency worth up to 2 billion rials (about $3,570) daily.
Previously, these exchange points could only handle cryptocurrency exchanges worth up to 250 million rials (about $446) per day.
To note, the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) oversees the process of cryptocurrency exchange, including the related data and documents.
Additionally, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian instructed the Central Bank of Iran to allow the creation of companies and activities related to cryptocurrency exchange under the bank’s licensing system on February 4.
