ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 17. As of the end of January-November this year, approximately 12.3 million tons of oil products were produced, or 101.7 percent of the amount produced during the same period last year (12.1 million tons), Trend reports.

At a meeting of the Government of Kazakhstan, Minister of Energy Almassadam Satkaliev delivered an official report.

"The output metrics for petrochemical commodities escalated to 506.1 thousand tons, representing an increase of over 1.6 times compared to the corresponding temporal data from the previous year, which stood at 312.9 thousand tons. The output of automotive gasoline registered at 4.9 million tons, translating to 102.1 percent of the previous year's benchmark of 4.8 million tons. Concurrently, diesel fuel production also hit 4.9 million tons, reflecting a growth of 104.3 percent compared to last year's total of 4.7 million tons," Satkaliev said.

He also underscored that the output of aviation fuel reached around 0.68 million tons, reflecting a robust uptick of 21.4 percent relative to the corresponding timeframe last year (0.56 million tons). The output of fuel oil reached 1.8 million tons, representing 85.7 percent relative to the corresponding timeframe of the previous year, which recorded 2.1 million tons.

The Minister pointed out that the dip in fuel oil production is a result of cranking up the depth of oil refining from 85 percent to 87 percent.

To note, a joint order from the ministries of energy, finance, and the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan is currently in effect, which imposes a ban on the export of gasoline, diesel fuel, and other certain types of petroleum products by road transport outside the country. This ban will expire on March 29, 2025.
