BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 18. Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover reached $43.2 billion in 2024, with the oil and gas sector recording a surplus of $20.3 billion, while the non-oil and gas sector faced a deficit of $11.5 billion, completely offsetting the balance.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) indicates that the foreign trade balance during the reporting period showed a surplus of $8.8 billion.
Azerbaijan sustained its commercial engagements with a network of 180 nations globally in 2024. In the overall spectrum of international commerce, 14.4 percent of the aggregate trade volume was transacted with entities within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), whereas a substantial 85.6 percent was derived from external foreign jurisdictions.
