BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. To date, a whopping 53,785 mortgage loans have been issued in Azerbaijan, and 6,764 citizens signed lease-purchase agreements.
Data obtained by Trend from the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund indicates that 60,549 families have improved their housing conditions through the mortgage lending and the rent-to-own mechanism implemented by the fund.
Nearly 70 percent of the families who have improved their living conditions through the fund’s housing finance tools are young people.
The total volume of mortgage loans issued across the country amounted to 4.7 billion manat ($2.76 billion) by the end of 2024, of which 3.3 billion manat ($1.94 billion), or 81.4 percent, are loans issued by the government.
To date, the volume of mortgage loans issued at the expense of the fund has exceeded 3.4 billion manat ($2 billion).
