BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11.​ Azerbaijan's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reached 29.8 million manat ($17.5 million) from January through March 2025, reflecting a modest increase of 0.3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that while the oil and gas sector took a hit with a 3.8 percent drop in added value, the non-oil and gas sector managed to keep its head above water with a 2.5 percent growth.

The GDP distribution shows that 37.0 percent of the total output came from industry, 10.3 percent from trade and vehicle repair, 6.8 percent from transportation and warehousing, 5.8 percent from construction, 3.1 percent from agriculture, forestry, and fishing, 2.9 percent from accommodation and food services, and 1.8 percent from information and communication sectors. Other areas pulled in 21.6 percent of the GDP, while taxes on products and imports chipped in 10.7 percent of the GDP.

The per capita GDP for the demographic cohort was recorded at 2,922 manat ($1,718).
