ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 14. The Kazakhtelecom Group of Companies announced an 8.2 percent increase in its revenue in 2024, reaching 744 billion tenge (approximately $1.41 billion), Trend reports via the Kazakhtelecom's consolidated financial report for 2024.
"The results reflect the stable growth of the company despite high capital expenditures for the development of network infrastructure. Significant investments have been directed towards the implementation of new technologies such as 5G and the modernization of customer services. The company continues to actively develop its fiber-optic network and increase capacity in the digital services sector," the statement said.
The company also noted the continuation of its ambitious projects, including the construction of an underwater fiber-optic communication line through the Caspian Sea to Azerbaijan, and plans to further expand 5G networks in the largest cities of Kazakhstan. In the coming years, the company will focus on implementing solutions using artificial intelligence and satellite technologies to improve connectivity in remote areas of the country.
In 2024, Kazakhtelecom invested 215 billion tenge ($408 million) in the development of communication and IT infrastructure, as well as in improving the quality of communication, which allows the company to maintain a leading position in the market.
