ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 5. At a government
meeting chaired by Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov,
Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Yersaiyn
Nagaspayev reported the commencement of systematic work on coal
chemistry – one of the promising areas for the development of the
chemical industry, Trend reports.
"Due to the country's significant coal reserves, the development of
this area will allow us to move away from a raw material-based
economy and increase added value. Currently, work is being carried
out with large companies such as CHN Energy and East China
Engineering and Technology," he noted.
Moreover, according to him, as part of the approved Roadmap for the
development of coal chemistry, domestic coal mining enterprises,
together with the country's scientific institutions, are conducting
work to thoroughly study and implement advanced technologies aimed
at producing in-demand chemical products.
Today, a government meeting is being held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov. The agenda includes the development of the chemical and petrochemical industries in the country.
