ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 27. Deputy Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Sungat Yessimkhanov, speaking at a Government meeting, noted that during the past heating season, 9 combined heat and power plants (CHPs) moved from the "red" risk zone to the "yellow" zone, and 3 transitioned to the "green" zone, Trend reports.
According to him, this was achieved through strengthened control
over the operation of heat energy facilities.
“In particular, 472 inspections were carried out, resulting in
fines totaling 170 million tenge (approximately $340,000). The
institution of production energy control was introduced, and the
appointment of heads of energy enterprises now requires passing a
qualification knowledge test. Amendments have also been made to
legislation providing for stricter liability for violations of
repair deadlines, fuel reserves, and network damage,” he noted.
These measures have significantly reduced the number of cases of
non-compliance with the temperature schedule of heating networks
from 215 to 65. In addition, the number of technological violations
at power plants decreased by one-third.
