BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 13. Peru views the reopening of its embassy in Baku as an important step in developing relations with Azerbaijan, given the country's strategic location in the Caucasus and its energy and trade potential.

This was announced in an article published in the Peruvian newspaper La Razón by Ricardo Sánchez Serra, focusing on the foreign policy priorities of the new Peruvian government and the activities of Foreign Minister Carlos Espa.

The author noted that the reopening of the Peruvian embassy in Baku is a decision that should be considered with particular attention.

"Azerbaijan holds a strategic position in the Caucasus and is an important energy and trade hub," the article states.

According to the author, the further development of relations between the two countries may have not only diplomatic but also economic significance. In particular, he highlighted recent announcements of Azerbaijani investments in Peru, which, as noted in the publication, indicate significant potential for expanding bilateral cooperation.

The article emphasized that strengthening cooperation with Azerbaijan fits into Peru's broader commitment to developing relations with various international partners and fostering new economic and trade opportunities.

The author also considered Peru's foreign policy priorities vis-à-vis other countries and regions, including Morocco, Chile, and Brazil, noting the need for Lima to pursue a balanced foreign policy and strengthen strategic partnerships.

The article paid special attention to the role of the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in implementing the country's foreign policy. The author emphasizes the need to develop diplomacy focused on protecting national interests, expanding international cooperation, and creating new opportunities for Peruvian businesses.

The concluding section of the article emphasizes that Peru’s foreign minister faces the challenge of transforming this vision into practical government policy capable of strengthening the country’s position on the international stage.
