BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 29. Exports from Razavi Khorasan Province in northeastern Iran surged by 34 percent in the first six months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through September 22, 2025), compared to the same period last year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024), Amirreza Rajabi, Director General of Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of the province, told reporters, Trend reports.
He noted that during this period, the province exported goods worth around $1.2 billion. Rajabi added that industrial facilities were launched with an investment of 380 trillion rials (about $656 million) in the province’s industrial sector.
The official mentioned that the province's mineral reserves have seen a bump of at least 34 million tons during the reporting period.
“In six months, projects for the expansion of 170 industrial enterprises and the establishment of 120 new ones were approved and put into operation,” he emphasized.
To note, Iran's non-oil exports through the province’s customs reached $2.25 billion in the previous Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025), amounting to 3.46 million tons. This represented a 34 percent increase in value and an 18 percent rise in volume compared with the year before (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024).
