The monetary value of Iran's exports via its Isfahan province in the current Iranian year (began March 21, 2019) has exceeded $2.2 billion, Director General of Isfahan Customs Administration Rasul Kohestani Pajouh said, Trend reports citing IRIB.
The total weight of the exported goods was just over six million tons, the director said.
Compared to the same period of the preceding Iranian year, the exports of goods increased by 48 percent in terms of weight, and by 11 percent in monetary terms, Rasul Kohestani Pajouh said.
The customs official noted that 50 percent of the exports were iron and steel products, 20 percent - oil products, and the rest was mainly comprised of dairy products and rubber.
During the reported period, 138 kilograms of gold worth over $5.2 million was exported via Isfahan, the director said noting that the gold exports increased by 109 percent in terms of weight, and by 169 percent in monetary terms.
Meanwhile, Iran imported 93,000 tons of goods worth $368 million from Italy, Germany, South Korea, India, France, the UAE, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Turkey and China, the customs official said.
According to him, the imports increased by 42 percent in terms of weight and by 19 percent in terms of value.
Main imports during the reported period included electrical and mechanical equipment, raw materials, rubber and metals, the director noted.
The customs official said that the revenues of Isfahan Customs Administration increased by 33 percent and amounted to three trillion rials (roughly $714 million).
