The export of goods from Azerbaijan to Turkey in total amounted to $302.7 million from January through February 2021, which shows a 2.6 percent decline compared to the period from January through February 2020, Trend reports on March 18 with reference to the statistics bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
Turkey's share in Azerbaijan's total export reached 10.86 percent compared to 9.56 percent from January through February 2020.
During the reporting period, import of the Turkish products to Azerbaijan amounted to $238.5 million while Turkey's share in Azerbaijan's total import increased by 1.54 percentage points for the year, amounting to 14.79 percent of the total volume.
The volume of foreign trade operations between the two countries from January through February 2021 reached $541.1 million (a decline of 1.2 percent), while the balance of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkey remained positive over the reporting period and is estimated at $64.2 million.
In general, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to almost $4.4 billion from January through February 2021. Some $2.8 billion (63.36 percent) of that volume accounted for export while the remaining $1.6 billion (36.64 percent) - for import.
