TEHRAN, Iran, September 29. Iran is likely to increase oil production and export by 30 percent in the second half of the current Iranian year (started March 21,2022), former member of parliament’s energy commission and professor at the University of Tehran, Hassan Moradi told Trend.
"Oil is still an essential commodity for Europe, therefore global demand for oil has not changed except for the part that is dedicated to saving energy," he indicated.
"The Iranian government is seeking to find new customers for its oil," he said, adding that countries such as India are looking to buy Iran's oil.
The former MP predicted Iran’s oil export would improve and oil production would consequently increase.
Referring to possible agreement for the revival of the 2015 nuclear deal, he said that even if no agreement is reached, the mood for oil production and export would rise.
"However, if the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) talks would result in a deal, then oil production would jump," he said.
