The STAR refinery began operations on October 19, 2018. It ensures the integration of oil refining and petrochemicals and represents the largest investment in Türkiye’s real sector.
Since late 2024, the refinery’s oil processing capacity has reached 13 million tons per year. STAR produces various petroleum products, including diesel, naphtha, and aviation fuel. Its annual naphtha output almost fully meets the feedstock needs of the Petkim petrochemical complex.
