BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 7. In the first half of 2025, BTC Co. spent around $60 million in operating expenditure and $30 million in capital expenditure, Trend reports via bp.
This is while in 1H 2024 the opex and capex on Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline stood at $70.5 million and $17.7 million, respectively.
As such, opex dropped by 14.9 percent, while capex rose by 69.5 percent year-on-year.
Since the 1,768 km BTC pipeline became operational in June 2006 till the end of June 2025, it carried a total of around 4.6 billion barrels (about 605 million tonnes) of crude oil loaded on 6,007 tankers and sent to world markets.
BTC Co. shareholders are: bp (30.10%), SOCAR (32.97%), MOL (8.90%), TPAO (6.53%), Eni (5.00%), TotalEnergies (5.00%), ITOCHU (3.40%), ONGC Videsh (3.10%), ExxonMobil (2.50%) and INPEX (2.50%).
