BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 13. Azerbaijan imported 762,200 tons of crude oil and crude oil products worth $369.4 million from January through August 2025, sourced from bituminous rocks.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that this marks a decline compared to the same period last year, with the value of imports dropping by $371.5 million, or 2 times, and the volume decreasing by 554,500 tons, or 1.7 times.
During this period, Azerbaijan imported crude oil products from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Iraq. Specifically, imports from Kazakhstan totaled $38.2 million for 69,100 tons, from Russia $331 million for 692,700 tons, and from Iraq $162,000 for 439 tons.
No exports of crude oil products in the opposite direction were recorded during this period.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan exported crude oil and crude oil products to 20 countries, totaling $8.39 billion and 15.9 million tons, a decrease of $1.91 billion and 551,050 tons compared to the same period last year.
