BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 22. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecasts average annual inflation in Azerbaijan at 2.1 percent in 2024 (last forecast at 3.5 percent), Trend reports.
According to the IMF, next year's average annual inflation is expected to hit the ground running at 4.8 percent, a slight dip from the previous forecast of five percent.
To note, the World Bank (WB) forecasts inflation in Azerbaijan for 2024 at 4.2 percent, the UN forecasts inflation in Azerbaijan at 5.9 percent in 2024 and 3.9 percent in 2025, the ADB forecasts 5.5 percent in 2024 and 6.5 percent in 2025, and the ING forecasts 2.2 percent in 2024, 4.7 percent in 2025, and 4.5 percent in 2026.
