BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 30. Analysts of the Dutch ING forecast that the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) will maintain the discount rate at 7.25 percent in the fourth quarter of 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the ING forecasts show that the discount rate will remain at the same level until the end of 2025, and the company predicts the discount rate at 7.75 percent for 2026.
According to earlier reports, the CBA at its last meeting (September 18 this year) decided to leave the discount rate unchanged at 7.25 percent; the upper and lower limits of the interest rate corridor also remained unchanged—at 8.25 percent and 6.25 percent, respectively.
The CBA has scheduled its next meeting on the discount rate issue for today. Furthermore, on December 18 of this year, the CBA will make public its decisions on the parameters of the interest rate corridor.
