BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 13. Dutch ING financial institution analysts forecast that the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) will keep its refinancing rate at 7.25 percent in the first quarter of 2025, Trend reports.
According to ING's projections, the rate is expected to remain at this level until the second quarter of 2026. In the third quarter of 2026, the bank anticipates a rise to 7.5 percent, with a further increase to 7.75 percent by the fourth quarter.
As previously reported, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) decided this week to leave the refinancing rate unchanged at 7.25 percent; the upper and lower limits of the interest rate corridor also remained unchanged at 8.25 percent and 6.25 percent, respectively.
The next CBA meeting on the refinancing rate is scheduled for January 22 of this year.
