BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 5. Baku International Sea Trade Port (BISTP) was the first in Azerbaijan's logistics sector to receive the international certificate on risk management ISO-31000:2018, Trend reports via BISTP.

“This certificate of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was issued to the port following an audit conducted by Dutch company Kiwa, which has a high reputation in the field of international certification,” the information noted.

The ISO-31000:2018 standard testifies to the sustainability of the corporate governance system and the use of risk-oriented approaches in making operational decisions.

To note, BISTP is based in Alat on a territory of 400 ha; its current cargo transshipment capacity is 15 million tons per year, but work is underway to increase the figure to 25 million tons per year and to handle containers with a total volume of 1 million TEU per year (now about 500,000 TEU per year).
