BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 26. During the first nine months of this year, Kyrgyzstan transported a total of 20,900 tons of cargo by air.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's National Committee on Statistics reports that compared to the same period of last year, the figures increased by 2.2 times when 9,100 tons of cargo were transported.
At the same time, the volume of cargo turnover by air transport amounted to 184.4 million ton-kilometers, which is 9.8 percent more than from January through September 2023 (168 million ton-kilometers).
Kyrgyzstan transported 38.124 million tons of cargo by all types of transport from January to September of this year. Compared to the same period last year, this indicator increased by 2.3 million tons, or 7.4 percent.
In September, the volume of cargo transportation increased by 1.3 percent compared to the same month last year, and by 18 percent compared to the previous month.
The volume of cargo turnover by all types of transport in Kyrgyzstan for the reporting period amounted to 2.174 billion ton-kilometers, a 6.2 percent increase compared to January-September last year.
