Tajikistan, China reaffirm commitment to strengthening cooperation

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 12. Tajikistan and China discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in the consular sphere during a meeting between senior diplomatic officials, with both sides expressing readiness to maintain constructive dialogue and strengthen cooperation.

This was reflected in the statement by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Farrukh Sharifzoda, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Tajikistan, Guo Zhijun.

The sides reviewed the current state of Tajik-Chinese cooperation in consular affairs and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.

"During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the consular field. as well as issues of mutual interest, expressing readiness to continue constructive dialogue and further strengthen cooperation," the ministry said in the statement.

Particular attention was given to prospects for further developing cooperation in the consular sphere and addressing relevant issues through continued diplomatic consultations.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for the two sides to coordinate their approaches to matters of mutual interest and discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral engagement.

The officials expressed their readiness to maintain a constructive dialogue and continue efforts to deepen cooperation between Tajikistan and China.
