BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. Turkmenistan's imports of chemical products from Belgium have tripled over the past six years, the source at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union told Trend.

According to the data received, Turkmenistan's imports of chemical products from Belgium last year amounted to 6.2 million euros, which is three times more than in 2018, when it amounted to 2.07 million euros.

Furthermore, from the beginning of 2018 through the end of 2023, Turkmenistan purchased chemical products from Belgium, totaling over 50.5 million euros.

Turkmenistan imported the largest volume of chemical products from Belgium in 2022 in the amount of 24.4 million euros, thereby setting a new record for the last 6 years.

Meanwhile, Belgium's share in Turkmenistan's imports of chemical products from EU countries over the past 6 years has amounted to more than 9 percent.
