Uzbekistan's Trade Dev't Company empowers export growth with financial backing

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 27. Uzbekistan’s Trade Development Company (part of Uzbekistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry system) has provided financial support to 798 export enterprises totaling 311.4 billion soums ($24.2 million) in 2024, the chamber told Trend.

The volume of funds has decreased by 31.5 percent year-on-year (409.5 billion soums, or $31.8 million in 2023).

Also, 248 enterprises were allocated financial resources through commercial banks for pre-export financing in the amount of $241.2 million. These enterprises exported $1.9 billion in 2024.

In 2023, for every dollar spent, the company generated an average of $5.6 in exports. In 2024, that figure rose to $7.4, which is more than 32 percent.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's exports reached $22.4 billion from January through October 2024. This figure shows a 9.8 percent growth compared to the same period last year ($20.4 billion in January-October 2023).
