BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 17. Iran's Western Oil and Gas Production Company is running to increase crude oil production by 20 percent in the coming years, the Executive Director of Iran's Western Oil and Gas Production Company Mahmoud Nasseri said, Trend reports.
According to him, the company's crude oil production will increase to 400,000 barrels per day.
Nasseri noted that the company's current crude oil production potential is 165,000 barrels per day.
The official stated that, at the same time, work is underway to increase the company's gas production to 15 million cubic meters per day. Currently, the company's gas production potential is 7 million cubic meters per day.
To note, Iran's Western Oil and Gas Production Company operates under Iran's Central Petroleum Zones Company. This company has been operating since 1999, and its areas of operation are the Kermanshah, Ilam, and Lorestan provinces of Iran. The company can produce 165,000 barrels of crude oil and 7 million cubic meters of gas per day.
Hydrocarbons are produced at 12 oil fields and 1 gas field of the company. A total of seven oil fields and six gas fields are in undeveloped status.
