BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 10. The production of lead concentrate at the Nakhlak lead mining complex in central Iran's Isfahan province increased by 23 percent during five months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through August 21, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through August 21, 2023).
The data obtained by Trend from the Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) shows that 6,600 tons of lead concentrate were produced at the complex during five months. However, during the same period last year, the complex produced 5,380 tons of lead concentrate.
Moreover, about 244,000 tons of mining raw materials were extracted at the complex during the five months. This is 35 percent more than in the same period last year. In the same period last year, the complex extracted about 181,000 tons of mining raw materials.
A total of 8,820 tons of lead concentrate was dispatched from the complex to various local companies over the five months. This is 57 percent more compared to the same period last year. During the same period last year, 5,630 tons of lead concentrate were dispatched from the complex to various local companies.
To note, the Nakhlak mining complex has a lead reserve of one million tons. This stockpile is expected to increase to three million tons.
