BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 28. Iran's Marun Oil and Gas Production Company has already started collecting flared gas, which is burned daily at a volume of 6 million cubic feet (about 170,000 cubic meters), executive director of Iran's Marun Oil and Gas Production Company Ghobad Nasseri told reporters, Trend reports.

According to him, the harvesting of combustible flare gas began with the commissioning of a new 20-inch pipeline for the transportation of sweet gas in the company's production unit No. 6.

Nasseri added that the pipeline will generate revenue of $9 million per year with its commissioning. Marun Petrochemical Company has invested in the pipeline's commissioning.

Marun Oil and Gas Production Company, operating within the National Company “Southern Oil Zones” of Iran, runs 404 oil wells. This company's production is 562,000 barrels per day. About 360,000 barrels of it are transported to Isfahan Refining Company and the rest (202,000 barrels) to Kharg Island.

To note, this company produces daily 570 million cubic feet (about 16.1 million cubic meters) of gas, 25,000 barrels of liquefied gas, and 7,000 barrels of gas condensate produced together with oil.
