BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 25. The volume of flared gas in Iran's Fajr Jam gas refinery company has decreased by 48 percent since 2019, Executive Director of Iran's Fajr Jam Gas Refinery Company Mohammad Mehdi Hashemi told reporters, Trend reports.

According to him, the company has set a goal to increase the amount of flared gas in Fajr Jam Gas Refinery Company to 63 percent by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2025).

The official stated that the company's experts are moving to minimize the amount of flared gas in the company. It is expected that the company will have a significant share in reducing the emissions of flared gas.

He noted that for nine months (from March 20 through December 20, 2024), the company produced 13 bcm of gas, 13,600 tons of liquefied petroleum gas, and 1.8 million barrels of gas condensate.

To note, Iran's Fajr Jam gas refinery company was established in 1988. This company can process 125 million cubic meters of gas per day. Along with natural gas, produced liquefied natural gas (LPG) is exported to neighboring countries.
