BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 25. Iran’s South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company's (SZOGPC) gas production during the 11 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through February 18, 2025) has increased by six percent compared to the planned production, Seyed Mahmoud Mirbagheri, Director of Operations at SZOGPC, told reporters, Trend reports.
Mirbagheri articulated that throughout this timeframe, the enterprise's gas reservoirs yielded over 126 million cubic meters of gas daily.
He added that the gas production came from the company’s 9 gas fields. The production plan had been announced by the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).
The company official also noted that the primary task of the SZOGPC is to continue gas extraction from its operated fields. Additionally, the company’s crude oil production has increased by 132 percent.
The official refrained from divulging the precise metrics of crude oil output.
The South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company (SZOGPC) is one of three subsidiaries of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). The SZOGPC currently has 9 gas fields - Aghar, Dalan, Nar, Kangan, Sarkhoon, Tabnak, Homa, Varavi, Shanol - and 3 oil fields - Saadatabad, Sarvestan, and Khesht under its management.
A total of 84 oil and gas fields are under the management of Central Oil Zones in 11 provinces of Iran. To date, 13 gas fields and 13 oil fields have been developed. The maximum production potential of Central Oil Zones Company is about 250,000 barrels of crude oil and 250 million cubic meters of gas daily.
