Iran’s output from its southwestern oil field of Yadavaran (joint with Iraq) has surpassed 115,000 barrels per day (bpd), an Iranian operator said.
Operator of Yadavaran oilfield development project Hadi Nazarpour has said that the output level is 30,000 barrels more than the operator’s commitment for the first phase of the development project, SHANA news agency reported.
The oil field’s production level is projected to reach 180,000 bpd in the second phase and it will eventually hit 300,000 bdp in the final phase, according to the official.
Iran has prioritized the development of West Karoon block, including North and South Azadegan, Yadavaran and North and South Yaran fields with 64 billion barrels of reserves, which currently share about 6 percent in the country's total crude oil production. All of the mentioned fields are joint ones with Iraq.
