Iran’s bitumen export revenues decreased by 45 percent to $587 million during 10 months of current fiscal year (started on March 21, 2016), the Trade Promotion Organization said Jan. 31.
According to the report, bitumen shares about 1.7 percent of Iran’s total non-oil exports.
The country puts gas condensate, liquefied gas as well as some oil products into non-oil export basket.
Iran’s total non-oil exports reached $35.27 billion, which indicates an 8 percent growth, while its imports increased by 3 percent to $34.982 billion in the 10 months.
Gas condensate exports increased by 85 percent and 59 percent in volume and value to hit 15.35 million tons and $6.026 billion, respectively.
Petrochemical and liquid gas exports grew 35 percent year-on-year to hit 32.798 million tons, but their value remained unchanged at $12.832 billion.
