BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 6. A total of 3.53 billion manat ($2.08 billion) in loans has been issued to 54,588 borrowers in Azerbaijan through the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund (MCGF) so far.
The data obtained by Trend from the MCGF shows that additionally, loans worth 549.4 million manat ($324 million) have been backed by guarantees and subsidies.
A total of 7,254 apartments have also been allocated through a rent-to-own scheme.
The MCGF was established at the end of 2017 through the merger of the Azerbaijan Mortgage Fund and the Credit Guarantee Fund, and is their legal successor.
