BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 24. Azerbaijan exported 1,300 tons of meat worth $1.8 million abroad in 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee shows that the value of exported meat grew by $155,000 (9.1 percent) from 2023, and the volume - by 265 tons (24.8 percent).
Meanwhile, last year, Azerbaijan imported 58,700 tons of meat, totaling $129.5 million. Compared to 2023, the value of meat imports rose by $42.8 million (49.4 percent), and the volume - by 17,000 tons (40.7 percent).
The share of meat in total imports for the reporting period was 0.62 percent.
