ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 30. Kazakhstan intends to increase the supply of wheat and other agricultural products to European countries through the territory of the Russian Federation, said Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Azat Sultanov following negotiations between the prime ministers of Kazakhstan and Russia, Trend reports.

He also noted that an agreement has been reached to partially lift restrictions on the export of meat and meat products from Kazakhstan.

"Due to the epizootic situation in Kazakhstan, the Russian side had previously imposed restrictions on the import of meat products. Today, we have reached an agreement with our Russian colleagues and lifted these restrictions for the southern and southeastern regions. We are now working on removing restrictions across the entire territory of Kazakhstan," said Azat Sultanov.

To note, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin arrived in Astana, Kazakhstan, on a working visit. He will also participate in the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and events at the Digital Almaty technology forum.
