BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 4. Azerbaijan notably increased production of cotton yarn last year.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee shows that this figure exceeded 18,454 tons, up 5,412 tons (41.5 percent) from 2023.
To note, Azerbaijan's textile industry, along with the manufacturing of clothing, leather and leather products, and footwear, produced goods worth 551.4 million manat ($325 million).
Compared to 2023, clothing production rose by 24.7 percent, manufacturing of leather and leather products and footwear production by 9.3 percent, while the textile industry rose by 0.9 percent.
